Scout Wild White Albacore Tuna in EVOO
Chef Charlotte Langley has devoted much of her life to seafood. After an extensive career working in seafood kitchens, she set out to make the high-quality ingredients she was so familiar with available to the home chef. The inspiration to establish a cannery of her own, upholding the traditions of her hometown on Prince Edward Island (PEI), was sparked with the discovery of a 100-year-old canning machine in her friend’s attic. From there, Scout Canning was born.
Today, Scout Canning offers a wide range of locally-sourced seafood delicacies. Committed to sustainability and ethical practices, many of Scout's products boast certification from the Marine Stewardship Council. The company is also a proud member of One Percent for the Planet, an international organization whose members contribute at least one percent of their annual sales to environmental causes.
Scout’s tuna is cut and packed by hand and preserved with organic olive oil to ensure optimal flavor and freshness. Unlike many supermarket brands, this tuna is firm in texture. As recommend by Scout, these Albacore cuts can be enjoyed on their own, in tuna salad, or served on a bed of greens among endless other possibilities.
