Keisaburo Koda was a pioneer of modern rice growing in California's San Joaquin Valley, starting his farm in the 1920s, and then rebuilding everything after being interned and his operations liquidated during World War II. Innovative and industrious, he rebuilt, helping create the incredible Kokuho Rose variety that we love. The whole grain brown rice version of this heirloom speciality is nutty and delicious, and it's certified organic.
