Diaspora Co. Kashmiri Saffron
For centuries saffron has held as one of the world's most precious spices for its vibrant color and subtly fragrant threads. Sourced from the crocus sativus, each flower only yields three fragrant and flavorful threads (stigmas). Saffron appears across the Italian culinary canon, from Sardinia's malloredous, to Sicily's Pasta con la Sarde to Risotto alla Milenese.
Diaspora's Kasmiri Saffron is grown by Raqib Mushtaq on his family's 3.75 acre farm in the historic saffron district of Pampore.
